Che

FourStory's upcoming visit to Cuba brought the following video to mind. Enjoy

SNEAKY! I was so sad for you! And then I was happy! And of course you dug up the dead cat, probably swung it around by its tail too, but are just too demure to say so.

That was a rollercoaster of a story.

Donna,
I sure do hope that you’ll find Che, the real one!
Wishing you a happy holiday season,
Ulrike

I laughed even harder at this story than I did on Thanksgiving since I knew how it came out!  Great story.  L, ncy

Another great story!
I just rescued a cat named Emma. At first she hid under the bed for a week. Now after 2 weeks, she’s sleeping on our bed, mostly on Tom’s pillow and he wakes up with swollen red eyes. We’ve put another pillow for her on my side, training her to sleep there. she’s getting it.
Have a good time over Christmas with Carol and Jim. Watch for some cheap plane fares to Puerto Vallarta.

Orval must be rich, since the prosperity of Okies can be judged in direct proportion to the number of old junk cars on the property. LOL

Che, you rascal, wherever you are. Sounds like Emma may be prepared to serve as a role model to the pack. Hope so!

Every time I read stories about your animals it reminds me of myself but mainly my cousin Nancy.  Nancy has been rescuing strays since we were kids (she’s a yr older than me), feeding then, naming them, and taking them into to the vet to get fixed.  She currently has 1 dalmation (rescued him off the streets of Hollywood), 3 of her own cats, plus 8 to 10 street cats which she all feeds.  The two of you are the saints that all animals need in this world.

I’ll wait for the follow-up to Emma’s story.  Heelers can be . . . uh . . . tricky because, well, they’re heelers and if not properly trained, they’ll herd anything, often with disasterous results. Plus Emma Goldman was a hell-raiser so I gotta bad feeling about this . . .

I have a wonderful cat story quite similar to yours.  Ours, too, had a happy ending.  At my old house in Woodland Hills we have a gravecite.  Tomb of the Unknown Cat.  The pet was Allson’s and we thought we had lost her in the l994 earthquake.  Her name was Cool Head.  But Cool Head was eventually found in the attic of Allison’s house, quite a bit thinner but she remained with Allison for many more years.  We truly love our pets, too.
