Evolution

by Donna Schoenkopf

"...everything is the sum of the past..."

Jesuit paleontologist-philosopher, Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, said this in a book published after his death. It was published after his death because of Church censure. Interestingly, the Pope I've always intrinsically found repulsed by, Benedict XVI, loves de Chardin. (Insert your favorite expression here.)

The Phenomenon of Man describes how people will evolve to a point of perfect connection with each other which results in Man, with a capital M. I see it sort of like individual primordial cells connecting and becoming super-developed plants and animals. He said that nature is the equivalent of becoming, and becoming is self-creation. And self-creation requires uniformity of consciousness.

To me, technology has been the most obvious mechanism at making connections between people.

Here is an amazing video that illustrates this.

Proof that members of the Shawnee, OK HS Class of 1961 can still keep up and think upon this “exponentially expanding” world in which we live.
