(Health)Carefree Job Hunting!

by Tony Chavira

Just in time for a report that came out detailing a misleadingly false reduction in the Los Angeles homeless population, and another report that some of the smaller cities in LA and Orange county might have significant brain drains due to the economy, we get this amazingly sad chart:

Yup, the chart relate the number of jobless people in a city to the number of available job postings that pop up the city on average.  Both Los Angeles and San Diego are 6 jobless people to one job!  Riverside is almost 9 jobless people to 1 job!!

What the hell?!?  Not only are these number scarily dire, but think about just how many people that disallows from employment benefits, mostly importantly full healthcare coverage.  So while jerks filibuster the potential healthcare bill and others protest it because they've got an axe to grind, Californians simply have to sit there and suffer.

As for Los Angeles, it would rather spend it's money on more important things.
