Idiot Of The Week: The Whittier Breeder

by Nathan Walpow

Idiot Of The Week

So the local woman who had octuplets earlier this week, it turns out, already has six other children. Six kids, and she went and had fertility treatments. Anything I could say about this person would pale beyond the enormity of the idiocy of what she’s done.

And why is everything being kept such a secret? To keep the press out? That same press that’s been (especially the local TV news morons) treating the mother and the babies and the whole imbecilic spectacle like it’s the best thing to happen in years? We don’t know the mother’s name, we don’t know who the father is; all we know is that the horde lives on, as the Times put it today, “a well-kept cul-de-sac in Whittier.” (The article also says reporters and camera crews are staking the place out, so there goes the keep-the-press-out theory.)

Oh, hell. Why go on? Either you get it that this is fucking irresponsible, or you don’t. Anyhow ... I am pleased to present the first FourStory Idiot Of The Week award to The Whittier Breeder.

lotsa babies
