Meet Someone Interesting in Church, Then Shoot Him

by

I wrote a while back about Orange County Supervisor John Moorlach’s disingenuous claim that he might need security guards to protect him, at county expense, in response to angry pro-choicers who had contacted him after he’d led the Board of Supervisors in cutting off an education grant to Planned Parenthood because the organization also performed abortions.

I wrote then: “We can empathize with Moorlach’s concern for his safety, given our country’s long experience with pro-abortion fanatics firebombing pro-life organizations, shooting doctors who refuse to perform abortions and blocking the entrances to maternity wards while waving ‘Abort, Damn You!’ signs. They’re a rough bunch.”

That was meant tongue-in-cheek, of course, since the preponderance of violence has come from the anti-abortion side (unless you count those millions of little fetuses, which I don’t. What’s a fetus ever done for me?)

As if we needed further proof of that, this morning the pro-life life-takers took the violence into the sanctity of a Wichita, Kansas church, where prominent abortion doctor George Tiller was gunned down, dead, by an unknown assailant who escaped in a 1993 Ford Taurus. 1993, coincidentally, marked the previous time Tiller had been shot, in both arms, by an anti-abortion nut. The clinic where he practiced had been bombed seven years previous to that.
