Public Works as Therapy for the Economy

There's a good op-ed in this morning's Times by Bill Boyarsky, the paper's former city editor and columnist. He hearkens back to the Depression and the public works projects that arose from it, and relates it to our opportunity, now that Proposition 1A and Measure R have passed, to get some big transportation projects (like the Wilshire subway) going.
